ITIL Small-Scale Implementation provides an approach to the implementation of the ITIL framework for those with smaller IT units or departments. An organization that has implemented ITIL guidance in ITSM may be able to achieve compliance with and seek certification under ISO/IEC 20000. The ITIL framework doesn't outline specific steps that businesses must follow, but it shares with IT professionals best practices that they can customize to their organizations.
